Who we are
PalmNode Infratech Pvt. Ltd. is a Vasai, Maharashtra-based company building biometric checkout infrastructure for retail. PalmNode Infratech provides next-generation, frictionless biometric checkout solutions for physical retail. Our hardware and software ecosystem allows merchants to process secure, PIN-less transactions using advanced palm-vein scanning technology, eliminating the need for mobile phones or QR codes at the point of sale. We are registered and headquartered in Vasai East IE, Vasai, Thane, Maharashtra, and we build our terminals and software with the realities of Indian retail counters in mind.
What we build
Our product line consists of two parts that work together. The first is a palm-vein scanning terminal, a compact piece of hardware that sits at the point of sale and reads the vein pattern inside a customer's palm. The second is merchant software that manages enrolment, transaction flow, and reporting for the retailer. When a customer checks out, the terminal identifies them from their palm-vein pattern and the transaction is routed for payment through our payment gateway partner, who handles the actual financial processing. PalmNode itself sits at the identification layer, not the banking layer.
Why palm-vein
We chose palm-vein recognition over fingerprints, face recognition, or card-based methods because the vein pattern inside a palm is an internal biological feature. It cannot be seen or photographed from the surface of the skin, which makes it inherently difficult to copy or spoof compared to surface-level biometrics. The scan itself is contactless, so customers do not need to touch a shared surface, and there is no need to carry a phone, remember a PIN, or present a card. For merchants, this translates into faster checkout lines and one less point of friction between a customer and a completed sale.
Our approach to data
We take a deliberately narrow approach to what we collect and retain. Our systems store only encrypted biometric hashes derived from a palm-vein scan, never a raw or reconstructable image of the palm itself. PalmNode does not collect, store, or process raw banking details, UPI PINs, or card data of any kind. All financial routing and settlement is handled by our payment gateway partner, and this financial data never passes through or is retained on PalmNode systems. This separation of identity verification from payment processing is central to how we have designed our platform.
